Welcome to Blackfriars Osteopathy, a central London osteopath clinic
We provide osteopathic services for a wide range of conditions, including neck pain treatment, back pain treatment and sports injury treatment. We are located on New Bridge Street in Blackfriars, close to Blackfriars station, and serve clients across the City and central London, including SE1 and EC2 postcodes and the surrounding areas.
What we do
Our first priority is to listen carefully to your story and take down a detailed account of the problem. Then, by a series of questions, we do our best to ensure that there is no underlying health problem that ought first to be dealt with by your doctor. The history-taking is backed up by using careful observation and our hands. We gently examine and assess problems that are in most cases to do with the musculo-skeletal system. These are often, but not always, related to the back or spine.
What we treat
We find that tension and stress, both physical and emotional, can often complicate the problem. We treat the pain and stiffness caused by the effects of wear and tear (arthritis), poor posture, and the results of physical injuries, including sports injuries. We also treat patients who come to us complaining of sciatica, leg pain, whiplash, and headaches, including migraine.
